Candace Parker Becomes 6th Player in WNBA History to have a Triple-Double

Candace Parker had 11 points, 17 rebounds and 11 assists to become the sixth WNBA player with a triple-double, and the Los Angeles Sparks beat the San Antonio Stars 85-73 on Friday night.

Parker’s triple-double is the first in a WNBA game since Temeka Johnson recorded one for the Seattle Storm in 2014. Sheryl Swoopes of the Houston Comets, Margo Dydek of the Utah Starzz, Lisa Leslie of the Sparks and Deanna Nolan of the Detroit Shock are the other women in the triple-double club.

Parker is averaging 16 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season for the Sparks, who own the WNBA’s second-best record at 16-6 after Friday’s win.
