Candace Parker Named to AP First-Team All-WNBA

Candace Parker has been named to the AP First-Team All-WNBA.

The former Lady Volunteer led the team to a 26-8 regular season record, second best in the league, giving them a double-bye in the 2017 playoffs. She led the Los Angeles Sparks in rebounding (8.4 rpg), and was second on the team in scoring (16.9 ppg) and assists (4.3 apg).

Parker was joined on the AP first-team by Los Angeles Sparks teammate Nneka Ogwumike. Sylvia Fowles of the Minnesota Lynx, Tina Charles of the New York Liberty, and Skyler Diggins-Smith of the Dallas Wings round out the selections.

The official league all-teams will be announced after the postseason concludes. Candace has been named to the first-team four times in her career.
